Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) In Action: Creating a Caring, Equitable Community of Learners
Developmentally appropriate practice is a comprehensive educational perspective that supports optimal healthy development for every child. Developmentally appropriate practice embraces both continuity and change; continuity because it guides a tradition of quality early learning and change as it incorporates new research, knowledge, and science regarding children’s development and learning. We will discuss early childhood development across multiple domains to include how educators help students learn motivation, are engaged in reciprocal relationships as well as identify how quality educators influence children's lives.
